2 Goat Thieves Grabbed At Asubor

Two suspected thieves are currently battling for their lives at the Suhum Government Hospital after they were subjected to severe beatings by the residents of Asuboi in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern Region for stealing 15 sheep and seven goats.

The suspects, Kwame Henry from Akyem Abomosu and Abu from Accra, were said to have stolen 15 sheep and seven goats from Kade in the Kwaebibirim Municipality by using Toyota Highlander car with registration number GR 8996-N for the operation.

One of them managed to escape police arrest initially.

However, the suspects were grabbed by the Suhum police patrol team, led by Lance Corporal Alexander Agyei at Asuboi, after being given a hot chase and beatings by the residents when they attempted to run away.

According to a police source, the suspects, upon seeing the police, quickly abandoned the car and took to their heels; but the patrol team gave them a hot chase in the bush.

He said, in process, they lost their way and appeared at the community where the residents decided to beat them.
