An electrician and driver have each been sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment in hard labour by an Accra Circuit Court for stealing.

The police however gave him a hot chase and eventually apprehended him.
The prosecutor Chief Inspector of Police Isaac Agbemehia told the court that when the police officers searched the vehicle, they found a pistol wrapped in a newspaper, cash of GH?300, an Apple Iphone 5s valued at GH?3,000, an LG mobile phone valued at GH?3,000, a G-shock wrist-watch valued at GH?2,450 and other valuables.
He said upon interrogations, Isaac revealed that they stole them from the complainant’s home.
The convicts, in their caution statement, admitted the offences.
The two, prior to their conviction, were granted bail by the court, but only Isaac was able to meet the bail terms.
He was however bitten by a dog while on his way to court a day before his conviction.
