The 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has tasked students and the youth of Ghana to vote out the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in the December 7 polls.
Addressing students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Nana Addo said the choices they make will determine their future.
“People keep telling you that you are the future of our country. I want to say something a bit different. I want to tell you that your future is now. Let me repeat it, your future is now.
“…If the people of Ghana, including yourselves, allow John Dramani Mahama another four years in power, you will have no future to inherit. That is why I am saying to you that your future is now. To secure your future, we have to make sure that Mahama is defeated on December 7. That is the task I am leaving you,” Nana Addo said.
Nana Addo further promised to secure the future of the youth when voted into power.
He thus, urged them to “get involved in the mobilization of our people to make sure that on 7th December”the Mahama-led administration will be voted out of office.
He also reiterated his commitment to “concentrate on growing our economy and making sure there are more and more jobs available for the young people of our country.”
