The two reigning champions of Europe, Liverpool and Chelsea are expected to face each other tonight in the 2019 Super Cup, with the match likely to be a clash of the Titans.
Liverpool are winners of last season’s UEFA Champions League while Chelsea defeated Arsenal to lift the UEFA Europa League trophy during the same season.
Tonight’s match is scheduled to kick off at 7:00pm at the BJK Vodafone Park in Istanbul, Turkey.
The match between the English soccer giants is the 44th edition of the UEFA Super Cup.
The Super Cup is an annual football match organised by UEFA and contested by the reigning champions of the two main European club competitions, the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
Liverpool are going into the match after a victory in their opening match in the English Premiere League, while Chelsea on the other hand suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Manchester United.
