Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will chair the party’s 2024 electioneering campaign with President Nana Akufo-Addo and former President John Agyekum Kufuor as advisors.
Also on the advisors’ list is the National Chairman of the party, Stephen Ntim and his predecessor, Freddie Blay as well as Elizabeth Ohene, Rev. Joyce Aryee and Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare.
Daniel Kwaku Botwe, Member of Parliament (MP) for Okere, was named Campaign Strategist and will be assisted by Fred Oware and Nana Akomea.
The NPP said Frederick Opare-Ansah, former MP for Suhum, will serve as Campaign Manager, with Dr. Antoinette Tsibu-Darko as Deputy – Research and Administration, MP for Akuapem South, O. B. Amoah, as Deputy – Parliamentary Campaign and Dr. Ibrahim Anyars as Deputy – Presidential Campaign.
The party indicated that the NPP General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, will be in charge of Operations, with Henry Nana Boakye aka Nana B as his deputy.
The NPP also said Dr. Alolo Mutaka will be in charge of Finance and Fundraising of the campaign team, while Dr. Isaac Owusu Mensah will head the Research Directorate, with Peter Mac Manu heading the Electoral Affairs Directorate.
Dennis Miracles Aboagye will head the Communication Directorate with Yaw Adomako Baafi, Maxwell Krobea Kwabena Asante and Akbar Khomeni as his deputies.
Spokesperson for the Presidential Candidate is Dr. Gideon Boako.
The Campaign Coordinators are Joseph Cudjoe (Identifiable Groups), Mavis Hawa Koomson (Coastal Zone), Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie (Middle Belt Zone) and Dominic Nitiwul (Northern Zone).
Frank Davies heads the Legal Directorate with Gary Nimako Marfo as deputy, while Amb. Edward Boateng will act as the Diplomatic Liaison.
Senior Campaign Aides include Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, John Boadu, Kofi Dzamasi, Dr. Susana Alo, Salifu Saeed, Samuel Awuku, Anthony Karbo, Dr. Nyame Baafi, and Nii Adjei Sowah.
According to sources, Vice President Dr. Bawumia presented the list of the individuals which was approved by the National Executive Committee (NEC).
The NPP said all Committees shall be inaugurated at a later date, adding that there shall also be constituted, regional, constituency and polling station campaign teams to assist the National Campaign Committees in the effective execution of their mandate.
The party believes the selected individuals can lead the charge to victory in the 2024 elections.
