$20m Paper Factory For Winneba

A $20 million worth paper factory is being established in Winneba, Central Region.

Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, revealed this.

He was making a presentation at the Nation Building Updates on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at the Academy of Arts and Sciences, in Accra.

According to him, the factory is being established under the government’s flagship Industrial Programme, One District One Factory.

The Central Region has received its fair share of government’s programmed such as planting for food and jobs, planting for exports and development, greenhouse village Programme, he said.

Under the Planting for food and jobs, the Central Region has actively partaken and benefitted.

According to him, at the onset of the Planting for Food and Jobs In 2017, 21,873 in the Central Region participated.

In 2018, he said the number increased 35,666.

The minister said again, in 2019, the number of farmers participating in the Planting for Food and Jobs In the region increased to 45,419, adding that it jumped to 51,771.
