The Knowledge Kinetics Organization (2KO), in partnership with the Multimedia Group, on Tuesday launched the Knowledge Ghana Project (KGP) in Accra.

The project aims at transforming Ghana through localizing the knowledge economy agenda and monitoring the public sector organizations.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 2KO, Dr. Edwin Acheampong, in his address, said the project is to help public sector organizations to become efficient internally and externally.

He added that the project will bring to the fore pragmatic strategic options to grow intellectual capabilities to improve efficiency in policy making and public service delivery.

“The service delivery among public sector organizations in Ghana is not the best, which is why we are launching this project to intervene in the situation,” he said.

He stated that the Knowledge Ghana Project would collate and make available to the public the service standards and procedures of all MDAs and MMDAs via social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and the newly designed mobile phone application, KnowApp.

“A template will be designed to use to collect data like service standards, service offers, compensation to customers, penalties and all other relevant information about all public sector organizations,” he disclosed.

According to him, the project would create an information society where the average Ghanaian would be privy to 99.99% of all information relevant to him or her.

Mr. Acheampong said that 2KO, in partnership with the Multimedia Group, would adopt modalities to persuade the government, MDAs and MMDAs to ensure excellent service delivery.

He added that when Ghanaians have the requisite information, it would be difficult for civil and public servants to take them for granted and extort money from them when accessing government services.

Dr Edwin urged the government to come on board and help Ghana go beyond intellectual aid before financial aid.

The programme was attended by dignitaries and representatives from several ministries, government institutions.
