3 Robbers Arrested In Gambaga

Information reaching DAILY GUIDE indicates that three persons have been arrested by the Gambaga Police for robbery.

The victim, Limuna Agoligo, was attacked by the three masked armed robbers, who were wielding a locally manufactured shotgun at Gbintiri in the Gambaga District.

The suspects are Karim Dansil, 22, Kofi Banaba, 21, and Amidu Dikrorugu, 26.

The incident happened at about 9.30 pm and the victim was robbed of GH¢2,000 and his motorbike.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that the victim, who was able to identify the suspects, reported the case to Gbentiri chief, who mobilized the youth to arrest the persons.

The Northern Regional Police PRO, ASP Mohammed Yussif Tanko, who confirmed the incident to DAILY GUIDE, said a search conducted on suspects  revealed a gun, two cutlasses, knife, metal bar, GH¢2,000, GH¢568 and four mobile phones.

According to ASP Mohammed Yussif Tanko, the suspects are in police custody assisting in further investigations.
