Some 310 Ghanaians have won the Chinese Government Scholarship for 2019.
Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Shi Ting Wang, who announced the package on Friday in Accra, said the 310 government scholarships had outnumbered all the other countries in terms of scholarship provided by China.
According to him, it shows that China is very much committed to the human resources development of Ghana.
The ambassador indicated that China and Ghana shared a belief that investing in education was investing in the future.
He disclosed that the Chinese government strongly supported the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy of the Akufo-Addo government.
Among the 310 scholarship beneficiaries, some are expected to study science, agriculture, medicine, architecture and ICT.
