Five unidentified passengers on board a Sunyani-Berekum bound taxi died in a ghastly accident on Monday at Nsoatre, after the vehicle on which they were travelling collided with an unregistered private saloon car.
Bodies of the five, including the driver of the taxi, have been deposited at a private mortuary near the area. According to information available to the paper, the driver of the saloon car is receiving treatment at a hospital.
Available information indicated the taxi, with registration number GT 5591-12, was heading from Sunyani to Berekum when the tragic accident occurred at about 2pm on Monday. Police investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
