Bugiri Naabu (In smock) with some dignitaries at the games venue
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Tamale Central- Shehu Ibrahim Barhama Anyars in collaboration with the constituency executive committee have held the annual Sallah games with various activities in Tamale.
The final football match was played at the Jackson Park at Sakasaka in Tamale between Aboabo Youth and Victory Cinema Youth.
The Victory Cinema Youth won the final match and took home a certificate, trophy, two footballs and crates of malt drink. The Aboabo Youth also received virtually the same prize except with the reduction in the number of malt crates.
The annual football game took place amongst all the 18 electoral areas of the Tamale central constituency under the theme: “Unity, Peace, Community Cohesion and Youth Development”.
The final match was attended by representatives of all the youth groups in the constituency.
The Special Guests at the ceremony included the Northern regional chairman of the NPP- Chairman Bugiri Naabu and the Northern regional secretary of the NPP- Mr Salifu Sule.
The Tamale North constituency chairman-Chairman Adam Yussif was also in attendance. Chief Akilu Sayibu – NPP PC for Tamale North in election 2012 was also in attendance.
Speaking about the match, the youth hinted that they were very much re-energized for the battle ahead.
