Nana Akufo-Addo and other NPP bigwigs with Nana Boakye Yiadom Kotoko, the Adugyama chief
THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has expressed gross concern over the sharp rise in economic hardship facing the citizenry, lately.
He openly bemoaned the severe economic difficulties that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, led by President John Dramani Mahama, had plunged the country into.
According to the NPP leader, economic hardship had reached the roofing levels lately, insisting that bad governance and weak leadership, which is the stock in trade of the NDC government, has been Ghana’s bane.
Nana Akufo-Addo appealed to the electorates to vote massively for him and all NPP parliamentary candidates across the country, so that they would turn the fortunes of the country around, after the 2016 polls.
He made the remarks when he paid a courtesy call on the Adugyama Chief, Nana Boakye Yiadom Kotoko at his palace on Wednesday morning, during the start of his five-day campaign tour of the Ashanti region.
Positive Track Record
Nana Akufo-Addo stated that the NPP has a track record of always implementing pragmatic programmes and policies to develop the country to better the lives of the masses, so the electorates should vote for the NPP.
According to him, Ghanaians saw and experienced the massive developmental projects that the NPP administration, led by ex-President Kufuor, brought to the country during the NPPs eight years in government.
Nana Akufo-Addo stated that the NPP transformed the country within just eight years, which brought about comfort to the people, promising that he would also transform the country when elected as president in 2016.
Nana Boakye Yiadom Kotoko, the Adugyama Chief, admonished the youth in the country to shun all violent lifestyles, especially as the national elections drew closer, so that the country’s peace could be protected.
