Blue Crest Fulfills Pledge

Management of Blue Crest has fulfilled its pledge to students who excelled in the second edition of the Nationwide Road Baton Relay held in Accra recently.

Last Monday, the high learning IT College delivered 12 degree scholarships to organizers of the event, Dreamland Sports Plus at its Kokomlele Head Office in Accra.

Rector of Blue Crest Vivek K. Verma mentioned that the offer- all expenses paid for any degree course for the beneficiaries, was aimed at encouraging the student athletes to combine athletics and education effectively.

“We have been doing this for some time now, we at Blue Crest consider this gesture as our support to the development of athletics in the country, it’s a brilliant concept designed to support second cycle institution athletics, and that was why we came on board.”

CEO of Dreamland, Emmanuel Ola Williams expressed thanks to Blue Crest for the gesture.

Twelve students from Swedru School of Business (SWEBUS) and the Kumasi Girls Senior High School (KUGISS) won the Boys and Girls categories of the   Road Baton Relay Marathon.

The beneficiaries comprise Ishmael Arthur, Eric Ohemeng Danso, William Amponsah, Seidu Salifu, Mathew Abrah Appiah, Richard Kwaitoo, Perpetual Kosine, Benedicta An-Mwaaba, Maw Majura, Anita Bodey, Stephanie Larbie and Victoria Arhin

The competitors took home certificates of participation, as well as products and souvenirs from the sponsors — Blue Crest College and Cave and Gardens, distributors of Vita Top Chocolate drink, Mcvities-Digestive,  Maybek Services Ltd  and (Baatsonaa Total).

The event was supported by Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Sports Authority, Ghana Education Service and Ghana Athletics Association.
