THE ADMINISTRATION of the Ghana Police Service has expressed its deepest condolence to Raffa Iddrisu, wife of Lance Corporal Wilfred Dodzi Amuzu, who last Monday swerved parade after booking for an AK 47 assault rifle, and allegedly gunned down his mother-in-law and his two male children in Tema.
A delegation from the administration, led by the Director General Welfare, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Bright Oduro; the Director General Finance, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Patrick Akolgo; Director General Legal, ACP Edward Tabiri and Director, Homicide Unit, CID Headquarters, Superintendent William Sedoame, invited the widow to console her.
On behalf of the Police Service, an amount of GH¢2,000 was said to have been presented to her for her upkeep at the Tema Regional Police Command where the meeting was held on Thursday.
The Service, in a statement released on Friday and signed by the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur, expressed deepest condolences to the wife of the late Lance Corporal Amuzu over the sudden demise of her husband and the two children.
Raffa Iddrisu, who was in attendance with her uncle, John Mensah Agbezhor and niece Alfred Boamah, expressed their gratitude to the police administration for its kind gesture.
Leadership of the Tema Regional Police Command was said to have briefed the team from the police headquarters about progress of investigation into the matter.
