10th Edition Of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Launched

TV3, organisers of the prestigious Ghana Most Beautiful beauty pageant, last Sunday launched the 10th edition of the pageant at a high-profile ceremony held at the Aburi Botanical Gardens in Aburi.

 

The ceremony which was performed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Media General, operators of TV3, Gary Alfonso, brought together a number of showbiz personalities, individuals from the business community and traditional leaders from the Aburi Traditional Council.

Also present was the reigning queen, Esi from the Central Region, and other former winners.

The 10 contestants representing the 10 regions who will be participating in the beauty pageant were introduced to the audience at the ceremony.

They are Naa (Greater Accra), Yaba (Western Region), Deme (Upper West), Hiba (Northern Region), Efua (Central), Akos (Eastern), Ama (Brong Ahafo), Badu (Ashanti Region), Alaya (Upper East) and Kafui (Volta).

In a speech, the CEO said TV3 will continue to provide Ghanaian viewers with good television content.

He urged the 10 contestants to give off their best and make their regions proud.

According to him, culture is the spirit on which a nation thrives, adding that TV3 has placed emphasis on the peculiar culture of the people of the 10 regions of Ghana to showcase a content which is very educative for all ages.

The Chief of Aburi and Adontenhene of Akuapem, Otoobour Djan Kwasi, who was the invited guest at the ceremony, lauded TV3 for the introduction of GMB to promote Ghanaian traditions and culture, saying it has opened up the traditions of other regions without the need to travel.

This year’s Ghana Most Beautiful will kick off on Sunday, August 7.
