Airtel Harmonious choir
Airtel Ghana, in collaboration with Adom FM, has launched the much-anticipated calendar marked gospel musical event, Airtle Adom Praiz, at the telecom company’s head office in Accra on a live broadcast.
The three-hour launch which started from 2:00PM to 5:00pm was marked with heaven-opening worship songs that held listeners spell-bound for the entire broadcast period.
As has been the tradition of the event over the years, the Airtel Harmonious Choir – an internal interdenominational group made up of 25 Airtel employees who are singers in their various churches and are passionate about using music to promote good values in society – sang splendid tunes, giving listeners a taste of what awaits patrons of the main event scheduled for Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Perez Dome located at Dzorwulu in Accra.
Cornelius Kakrabah, Head of Brands and Marketing Communications, mentioned that the concert is being organised to provide Airtel customers and Ghanaians a platform to connect and to worship.
According to him, “This is the seventh edition and the third consecutive time we’re headlining Airtel Adom Praiz. Every year’s edition comes with something new. This year, Airtel Harmonious Choir, made up of employees who are members of their respective denomination’s choirs, are billed as opening acts for the event.”
The event will feature the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, USA, local gospel giants like Francis Amo, Joe Mettle and Obaapa Christy.
Last year, renowned American gospel music singer and pastor, Hezekiah Walker, graced the sixth Adom Praiz, which patrons testified was awesome.
Airtel Adom Praiz has, over the years, featured internationally acclaimed musicians and ministers of God, including CeCe Winnas, Kirk Franklin and other iconic local gospel artistes. The main aim of the show is to give thanks to God for his continuous protection and also to celebrate artistes.
