Airtel Ghana has launched a new talent search and competition dubbed ‘Flex Awesome You’ to unearth the next big star in Ghana at a press soirée at its head office in Accra.
The competition, named after the company’s recently launched data bundle, Airtel Flex, presents Ghanaians with a unique opportunity to demonstrate their talents and stand a chance to be rewarded with cash prizes and amazing Airtel souvenirs over the period of the competition.
Speaking at the launch, Cornelius Kakrabah, Head of Brands & Marketing Communications at Airtel, said, “Airtel Ghana is reputed for empowering Ghanaians to fully realise their potential through various initiatives and competitions we promote.”
According to him, ‘Flex Awesome You’ is a unique opportunity for young people and the young at heart to exhibit their awesomeness by sharing their talents with the rest of the world and get rewarded for it.
“This competition is open to every Ghanaian out there who has a talent to share so you could be an awesome budding DJ with some amazing skills, a budding actor who is looking for a platform to show everyone how awesome you are, a comedian with the ability to get everyone cracking their ribs or a singer or dancer with the unique ability to hold everyone spellbound. If you possess any of these talents, you are the one we’re looking for,” Cornelius Kakrabah highlighted.
He continued…“The competition opened from August 18 and the deadline for submission of entries is September 25, 2016. Afterwards, the top entries will be collated and shared with the general public who can power their favourite participants to stand the chance of winning the grand prize of GH¢ 10,000.
The competition is open to Airtel customers who can participate by purchasing a minimum Airtel Flex bundle of GH¢1, visit the ‘Flex Awesome You’ website via www.airtelawesomeyou.com to sign up and upload their video on the website.”
The competition, Ghana’s first multi-talent competition, is targeted at the young at heart who have the passion and a talent to share with the rest of the world.
The competition is expected to run for the next three months and the winner walks away with GH¢10,000, with runner-ups taking home GH¢3,000 and GH¢1,500 respectively.
