The Ashanti Regional Police Command has impounded an assortment of classy television sets in Kumasi in the bush.

A group of unidentified hardened armed robbers in the city had displayed the television sets in the bush behind the Golden Tulip.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command gathered that the criminals were reportedly selling the television sets at cheap prices to their customers who are also criminals.

Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Kofi Boakye, stated that the armed robbers escaped before the police arrived at the location.

He disclosed that the armed robbers forcibly took the television sets from innocent people during robbery operations in the city.

COP Kofi Boakye urged people who had lost their television sets during robberies to visit the police station to identify them.

The police chief also hinted that some criminals had started robbing unsuspecting people of their possessions at gun and knife-points in taxi cabs.

He admonished the populace to always pick taxis from the recognized lorry stations in the city so as to avert violent attacks.

COP Kofi Boakye also entreated the public to provide the police with information about the activities of criminals so as to ensure their arrest before they strike.
