Hassan Ayariga, the leader of the All People’s Congress(APC) has congratulated President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo on his victory at the recent polls.
In a statement, he said “Your victory with a large majority has democratically been decided by the good people of Ghana. I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your well deserved and overdue success.”
He said Nana Akufo-Addo has worked hard for the position of the President of the Republic of Ghana
and prayed that he is able to fulfill his campaign promises.
To Ghanaians, he said, they too deserved congratulation for the peaceful nature of the elections.
Ghana, he said, has showed the rest of the world that she is the beacon of democracy in Africa. He applauded the outgoing President John Mahama for, as he put it, enhancing democracy during his tenure. He particularly pointed at the concession of defeat by the President
He admonished Nana Addo to be a president for all and to adopt an all-inclusive governance system.
Hassan Ayariga who lost a primary of the People’s National Convention formed the APC but the party failed to meet the standards of the Electoral Commission and could not field a presidential candidate in the general election.
He hit the road to campaign for President John Mahama in the northern regions.
