People dressed with NPP colours in Kumasi
RESIDENTS OF Kumasi, capital of the Ashanti Region, have suddenly adopted a new dressing code in the city.
Most of the people are now seen dressed in the red, blue and white colours of the New Patriotic Party (NPP.)
The dress code emerged immediately voting in the December 7 presidential and parliamentary polls ended on Wednesday.
Most of the people were seen wearing NPP clothes, headgear, bracelet and cap, as they moved around the city.
The new dress code gathered momentum on Thursday when it became clear that the NPP was winning the elections.
Interestingly, people from all walks of life in the city, including traders and commercial drivers, have adopted the dress code.
Worshippers in churches and mosques, strangely, were also spotted being decorated with the NPP colours even as they worshipped.
Interestingly, people who are advanced in age and children, as young as three years, have all joined in the new dress code.
Some of the people that DAILY GUIDE spoke to, stated that the NPP’s colours are beautiful, hence their decision to wear it.
Others also said they love the NPP so much that they have decided to dress in the party’s colours to be identified with it.
