The collapsed mud house
Two children met their untimely death yesterday at Supomu-Dunkwa in the Shama District of the Western Region under bizarre circumstances.
The two children died when a mud house strangely collapsed on them when they were playing.
The deceased Egya Abaka and Stephen Amoh, both seven years, were killed by the mud structure while playing during a break at the school at about 10am.
It was a very pathetic sight to behold when journalists got there.
All the members of the community, who were shocked by the death of the children, besieged the houses of the deceased to commiserate with their parents.
DAILY GUIDE gathered that the first child died instantly after the head was totally smashed while the second gave up the ghost shortly upon arrival at the hospital.
A third victim, who was said to be a five-year old kindergarten pupil, was treated and discharged at the Community’s Health Centre.
The bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at a private morgue at Aboransa, near Komenda in the Central Region.
