Exstep Production Rescues Local Movies

Samuel Kwadwo Fosu

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Exstep Production, Samuel Kwadwo Fosu, says he will invest one million dollars into Kumawood movies if the right policies are put in place.

Mr Fosu who is a philanthropist, an entrepreneur and a business mogul with a chain of business says creating jobs in Kumawood is his passion.

“I have a lot of investors in South Africa and Europe who are ready to invest in Kumawood movies but they are afraid of the loss because there are no rules covering the industry so instead they prefer to invest in Yoruba movies in Nigeria that attracted DSTV to go for Yoruba movies between $10,000 to $15,000 dollars per title, whilst Kumawood movies goes for $1,000 dollars per title,” he revealed.

“I am appealing to the minister of Creative Arts to work hand-in-hand with FIPAG and the Creative Arts Council to bring out policies that will protect the local movies and believe me it will attract foreign investors to move in to reduce unemployment in Ghana,” Mr Fosu stated.

Exstep Production has so far produced ‘Enyi Me Mma’, ‘Nsoroma’, ‘Nya Asem Hwe’, ‘Ye M’adom’, ‘Ewiase Ben Nie’ and ‘Me Hyebre Sesafo’.
