Ghana Beat Nigeria …In Binatone Skate Soccer

The national skate soccer side last Sunday recorded a 3-2 win over their Nigerian counterparts in the maiden unity skate soccer competition at the Independence Square in Accra.

Ghana took the lead and doubled the advantage later. The visitors pulled one back, but Ghana again stretched the lead until Nigeria marshaled in attack to reduce the deficit with seconds remaining to the end of the game.

The well organized and attended competition arranged by the  International Federation of Skate Soccer (IFSS) was in honour of Ghana’s 60th independence anniversary celebrations.

A release by Binatone mentioned that “As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, Binatone has taken the initiative to be the principal sponsor for the Binatone international unity skate soccer, dedicated to the development of physically challenged members of the society, especially polio survivors.”

It added that “In honour of Ghana’s 60th Independence celebration, Binatone celebrates with her by instituting a special Ghana @ 60 promotion through a raffle draw with hundred lucky winners and multitude of prizes during the Ghana-Nigeria skate competition.”

Binatone, founded 59 years ago is an established and recognized leading brand in household electrical and electronic appliances.

Players and officials who distinguished themselves received medals and souvenirs.
