Come Sunday, April 9, Nii Okai Ministries, in partnership with Strategic Communications Africa Limited (Stratcomm Africa), will organise Palm Sunday hymns and gospel concert at the Physician and Surgeons Auditorium in Accra at 4:00pm.

The event, dubbed ‘Hymns Unlimited’, expected to attract a large number of gospel music fans, is an annual Palm Sunday event being organised to commemorate the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.

According to the organisers, patrons should expect nothing but the best of praise and worship to the glory of God, adding that this year’s event will also be used to officially launch Nii Okai’s Saving Hearts Foundation (NOSHF).

A host of renowned Ghanaian gospel musicians from all over the country and two choirs have been invited to perform at this concert. They include Eugene Zuta, Bernice Offei, Koda, Pastor Helen Yawson, Harmonious Chorale and the Harbour City Mass Choir.

Nii Okai stated that the purpose of the concert is to revive the tradition of hymns and get young and old lovers of gospel music to appreciate the value of this tradition of worship.

He said, “Hymns are songs of praise born out of personal experiences with a Living God who is ever present in every detail of our lives. We find that these hymns have anchored the very basic doctrines of our faith over the ages and remain a spiritual health-check for believers in this season where false doctrines and questionable gospel music abound.”

“I promise patrons an intense time of Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with orchestrations fit-for-The-King by a selection of His choicest vessels as we mobilise to save more hearts,” he added.

The Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, Esther A. N. Cobbah, explained, “Stratcomm Africa believes so much is communicated through hymns and we are delighted to have this opportunity to work with Nii Okai on this concert during this and future Easter seasons.  We are also happy to be working with Nii Okai Ministries to raise funds to save hearts.”
