2 Grabbed For Killing Chinese Boss

The two suspected Chinese killers in police custody

Two Ghanaian workers of Ruiser Investment, a Chinese engineering company based in Accra, have been arrested by the Baatsonaa police for allegedly killing their boss.

The suspects are Ekow Korsah, 23-year-old foreman of the company and Michael Mensah, 22, a labourer.

Ren Guang Fa, 50, an engineer and Managing Director of Ruiser Investment, was reportedly found lying dead in the bathroom of his rented self-contained apartment at Sakumono, Accra, on April 13, 2017.

His brothers, identified as Han Ning and Hang Yu, were said to have discovered the body and made an official complainant to the Sakumono police.

Upon examination on Ren Guang Fa’s body by the police and crime scene experts, it was discovered that he had a deep cut on his left wrist and bruises on both the right and the left shoulders.

The body has since been deposited at the Police Hospital for preservation.

Briefing the media on the arrest, Chief Superintendent Felix Kwasi Cosmos, Baatsonaa Divisional Police Commander, said the murder was carried out on April 12, 2017, at about 8:30 pm.

Ren Guang Fa, the police officer asserted, on that fateful day, closed from work in the evening and retired to his residence at Sakumono, behind the               C & J Hospital, Community 16.

He said on April 13, 2017, at about 7:30 am, Ren Guang Fa, who lived alone, was found dead in his bathroom while his room had been ransacked.

While investigation into the alleged murder was ongoing, police intelligence led to the arrest of Ekow Korsah on April 16, 2017, suspected of being behind the gruesome murder.

Ekow initially denied knowledge of the offence when he was interrogated, but when a search conducted in his room at Lashibi led to the discovery of a Huawei P8 smart phone of the deceased, he admitted committing the offence and further mentioned Michael Mensah, as his accomplice.

On April 20, 2017, Michael Mensah was arrested at his hideout at Teshie, a suburb of Accra.

Upon interrogation, Mensah also admitted the offence and corroborated what Korsah had told the police.

Mensah then led the police to his hometown at Ekumfi Akra in the Central Region to retrieve a Lenovo desktop computer and a bag that contained the personal effects of the deceased boss.

Chief Superintendent Cosmos maintained that in the night of April 12, 2017, the two suspects went to the house of their boss under the pretext of going to fetch water from his reservoir.

According to the police officer, Ren Guang Fa opened the door when he realized that the men were his employees.

The two, he said, upon entering the house, pounced on the victim, gave him severe beatings and stabbed him in the process.

Realizing that the victim was unconscious, the suspects entered his bedroom to steal the aforementioned electronic equipment and some clothes and bolted.
