Gertrude Wins New Face of Exopa

A 22-year-old student of Data Link University, Gertrude Dzramado, beat several others to emerge the new female face of the Exopa Modeling Agency.

She put up an amazing modeling performance, including great walks, to win the Exopa New Faces contest held at the Exopa Burg behind the Accra International Trade Fair.

The Exopa New Faces contest is a runway event aimed at grooming young models to explore their modeling talent. The event used to be held monthly until organisers halted it. It picks both female and male winners.

After Gertrude were 21-year-old student nurse, Harriette Kallay, and 20-year-old Nigerian student, Favour Amadi, who took the first and second runners-up positions respectively.

The male category was also won by 25 year-old model, John Kaledzi, ahead of Davy Roland and Djida Nguene who were adjudged first and second runners-up respectively.

The exciting event had performances from different underground musicians who came out on the runway to give a good account of themselves. Among them were Mens Dee and dance performance by Ezuntey Flex and Ghetto Kids.

Aside different designs on display by some creative young Ghanaian designers, there were attractive summer wear made of contemporary African fabrics.

The event was used to officially launch the Exopa Academy, a newly-established screen acting wing of the modeling agency.

The Saturday event was organised by Exopa Modeling Agency, in collaboration with Exopa Academy, GPHILMS, Joyce Ababio College of Design, and supported by News-One, UTV, ZTV, Okay FM, Peace FM.
