K.K Essuman being sworn into office
The President’s nominee for the position of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Mfantseman, K. K. Essuman has been massively endorsed by the assembly members.
Forty eight of the assembly members made up of 32 elected members and 16 government appointees voted ‘yes’ to confirm him while only four members voted against him.
The election was conducted and supervised by the officials from the electoral commission from the area.
Mr. Essuman was sworn into office by a Magistrate Court judge, Madam Rita Asiedu.
Mr Essuman in his acceptance speech thanked the President, Nana Akufo Addo for the confidence reposed in him by appointing him as MCE of the area.
He also commended members of the assembly for the trust and confidence reposed in him by voting overwhelmingly to confirm him for the position.
He promised to run an all-inclusive and transparent administration without any harassment to his opponent.
Mr Essuman called on the assembly members to do everything possible to support him in order to bring total development to the people in the area.
The Central Regional minister, Kwamena Duncan also thanked the assembly members for their massive endorsement.
Mr Duncan described Mr Essuman as a hard working servant who is capable of transforming the municipality.
