Countess Amelia Academy (CAA) at Obosomase in the Akwapim North Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region has held its 15th anniversary and 14th graduation ceremony and fundraising in aid of ongoing school projects.
Forty pupils, comprising 32 and nine pupils from kindergarten and stage six, respectively graduated and will be promoted to primary and junior high school from September 2017.
Addressing parents, among other guests, at the auditorium of the school last Saturday, Mr Larry Boahen, Private Schools Coordinator at the Akwapim North Municipal Directorate of Education, called on parents to prioritise paying for the educational services for their children.
He stated that education is a big time investment which has high-yielding returns if parents pay attention to the needs of children and encourage them to take their studies seriously.
Rev Mrs Grace Dodoo, Director of CAA, in her welcome address paid glowing tribute tribute to KGS Am Romerhof in Aachen Germany for their sustained intervention to subsidise the feeding programme for pupils, as well as donating relevant teaching and learning materials.
She attributed the academic and moral success of the school to the absolute commitment of staff and pupils to use them effectively in bringing about the needed social and intellectual change in pupils.
Enoch Nana Opei and Nana Ama Dede Dokyi, members of the graduating class, assured that they would work hard to promote the hard-earned image of the school as a leading provider of quality education.
Mr Eric Dokyi, Chairman for the School’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA), urged parents to collaborate with the management of the school in its effort to provide quality education.
