Candy Man
Tonight, one of Ghana’s celebrated radio presenters, Alexander Kwaku Amoah, who is also known as Candy Man, will celebrate his birthday with a cocktail party at the premises of Atinka FM in Accra.
The party is expected to attract a number of radio and television personalities, musicians and a section of the creative industry stakeholders.
Presenters of Atinka FM and DJs will be there to thrill invited guests with good tunes, plus a special ‘old school’ edition by DJ Candy Man himself.
The event which will start at exactly at 7:00pm is expected to be packed with exciting and a variety of performances from some hiplife artistes.
There will also be a lot to eat and drink and quality Ghanaian music to meet the demands of invited guests.
Candy Man, who is the host of Akwaaba on Atinka FM, in a chat with BEATWAVES, thanked Ghanaians for supporting him throughout his 20 years in the radio industry.
He told BEATWAVES that he is happy to be alive to continue with his career, adding, “It is the work of God which has made it possible for me to reach this far.”
Candy Man added, “I thank God for adding one more year to my age. Without Him, I’m sure I may probably not be alive by now. It is not everybody that has this opportunity. I thank God.”
He expressed gratitude to all his colleagues who have contributed towards the success of his entire career.
“I want to use this opportunity to also thank my fans and listeners for their contributions to my career and their comments that pushed me this far,” he re-iterated.
