The Ghana Digital Centres Limited (GDCL) has invited Information Computer Technology (ICT) companies to apply to become tenants at the Accra Digital Centre.
This is in line with GDCL’s efforts aimed at helping create jobs in the country’s digital space.
GDCL, in a statement, said the Accra Digital Centre was capable of hosting up to 10,000 direct digital and ancillary jobs.
It urged ICT companies that are interested in getting office space at the Centre for their operations to download application forms at www.adc.gov.gh/forms or pick up forms from Accra Digital Centre, adjacent State Housing Company, Ring Road West, near the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange in Accra.
GDCL indicated that completed forms can be submitted via e-mail to David.Ofori@gdcl.gov,gh.
According to the statement, the Accra Digital Centre, a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) established by the Ghanaian government with assistance from the World Bank and the Rockefeller Foundation, was prepared to host ICT/BPO companies for the purposes of creating digital jobs.
The BPO Centre consists of 12 unit blocks, each with space of 750 sqm, providing total workspace of 9,000 sqm and six one-story office buildings with 24 rooms to serve as common service areas.
One block is reserved for digital entrepreneurship programme to help nurture technology startups, the statement indicated.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GDCL, Eric Ofosu Nkansah, in the statement, said that the Government of Ghana was providing technology companies and entrepreneurs with the affordable infrastructure and facilities at the centre to enable them grow.
