Ninetyeightyz Media, organisers of the recent Ghana Maritime & Shipping Awards and Aviation Awards, has expressed gratitude to Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the Minister of Aviation and her outfit, as well as the Freight Forwarders Association for supporting it to make the second edition of the awards successful.
A statement issued in Accra and signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ninetheightz Media, Bergis Kojo Frimpong, also thanked all organisations that contributed in diverse ways to making the event successful.
“I was very happy at the turnout and the sacrifices the minister and other personalities made to be present at the event,” adding that this year’s edition of the awards was adjudged by many as the most successful awards this year in terms of attendance and coordination.
The CEO mentioned that the presence of the minister confirmed the credibility of the annual awards, which has been held for the past two years.
He congratulated the Aviation Minister for taking bold decision to establish an Aviation Training Institute to train more people to provide career opportunities in the industry.
Mr Kojo Frimpong also expressed his appreciation to organizations such as Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), as well as other sponsors for ensuring the success of the event.
He explained that the purpose of the awards is to reward excellent performance in the aviation sector to encourage competition among the industry players.
This year’s awards attracted a number of personalities from the various recognised institutions, ministers of state and stakeholders in the aviation and tourism industries.
