uniBank Wins Best CSR Company

UniBank Ghana Limited was on Thursday, November 30 2017 adjudged the Best Practicing CSR Company at the 16th edition of the Ghana Club 100 awards.

This affirms the CSR Bank of the Year and CSR Initiative/Campaign of the Year accolade won at the 7th Ghana CSR Excellence Awards on October 27, 2017.

The award, which was bestowed on uniBank, follows the bank’s immense contribution towards the socio-economic growth of the country through its numerous CSR activities.

uniBank Ghana Limited beat off strong competition from numerous enterprises with its alluring CSR initiatives, including the Operation Smile Project.

Through this benevolent act, uniBank, partnered with Operation Smile Ghana, an International Medical Charity Organisation to perform free surgical operations on 150 patients born with cleft lips and cleft palate; the third commonest birth defect in the world.

This birth defect, which is increasingly spreading within some rural and urban areas in the country, causes speech abnormalities and breathing problems, sometimes resulting in death.

uniBank’s accomplishment in CSR delivery has been legendary, as it spans almost all facets within the developmental spectrum within the country.

This year’s award was organized by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) under the theme, “Industrialization – A Tool for Job Creation and Accelerated Economic Development.”
