Indigenous petroleum company, Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has won six awards in three separate ceremonies in Accra and Kumasi recently.

GOIL emerged the third best company in the Ghana Club 100, as well as the second best listed company in the prestigious awards ceremony.

In the Ghana Energy Awards, it was adjudged Brand of the Year, BDC of the year (Go Energy).

It also picked the CEO of the year, Petroleum (Patrick AK Akorli) award.

The company also won the Platinum Award in the energy sector at the Ashanti Business Excellence Awards.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO), GOIL, Alex Josiah Adzew, attributed the development to the trust the consuming public and dealers have reposed in the company, as well as the good structures put in place by the company.

Consequently, he dedicated the six prestigious awards to the public for demonstrating loyalty and commitment.

“We dedicate these awards to our numerous consuming public for their trust in us. We are putting structures in place to ensure the company grows from strength to strength. We will plead with our customers to continue to put trust in us. The good thing is if we make profit, the money stays in the country.

“Finishing as the third best company is no mean an achievement, you will bear with me that the first two companies are multinational companies. So in effect, we are the number one local company. Our target is to win the overall best next year. We thank God that GIPC has recognized our efforts,” said Mr Adzew.
