C-Trust Foundation, a women’s and children’s advocacy non-governmental organisation based in Accra, has donated educational materials and other items worth GH¢5, 500 to two basic schools in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The two schools — Attebui D/A Primary & Junior High School and Otareso M/A Primary & Junior High School — are both located in the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region.
They each received fairly used pairs of shoes and sandals, educational materials and footballs.
Ms Cynthia Kumah, who presented the items to the schools, indicated that the foundation whose mission and vision targets women and children’s liberation is privileged to make the donation to the schools.
She indicated that the field staff of the group would continue to collaborate with the schools and also expand into other deprived schools outside of the region.
“Refuse to accept your status as a deprived community dwellers and work so hard that you will come out of this situation to receive higher education and return to improve the lot of your relations and the community,” she advised.
