Marketing Support Consultancy Limited (MSC), a marketing research group based in Accra, has donated items worth GH¢ 1,500 and a cheque of GH¢2,000 to the Teshie Children’s Home.
The items comprised of packets of toilet rolls, bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, cartons of beverages, packets of biscuits, assorted soft drinks and fairly used clothing and sandals.
The CEO of MSC, Olakunle Olutimehin, stated that “for us it is an opportunity to reach out to less-privileged members of society and we believe that this gesture will serve as a modest source of motivation to increase their perspective of life, as well as the realisation that they are loved.”
“It is for this reason that my company since its establishment in 2005 has sustained the act of making donations to various vulnerable groups, especially during Christmas,” he added.
The founder of the orphanage, Janet Parker, expressed her appreciation to MSC for the donation, adding that such donations are a welcome relief for management.
Mrs Parker indicated that the orphanage was established 22 years ago with 35 inmates.
She expressed her excitement with how their collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare under the family integration system was yielding positive results for inmates, most of whom are being adopted by families at home and abroad.
In a later development, Mrs Bola Olutimehin also made a personal presentation of a 25-kg size of rice and some packets of toilet rolls to the orphanage.
