Latter Day Saints Hold Carols Night

One Of The Choir Groups Performing At The Event

The Church of the Latter Day Saints in Kumasi has ushered in the Christmas season with a mega carols night at their church auditorium at Dichemso.

Great choir groups such as the Adom Choir, Multi Stake Choir and the Medoma Ward Choir entertained the crowd with their excellent performances on Friday.

Kumasi Mayor Osei Assibey Antwi, traditional leaders and other imams were also there to make the event grand.

Mr Assibey Antwi opened the event with a scripture reading, which was followed by other Christmas carols.

The programme was also characterised by the reading of scriptures from the Holy Bible, which mainly centered on the birth of Jesus Christ.

Samuel Appiah, Kumasi-Ghana-Bantama Stake President of the Latter Day Saints, said the church uses the carols night to usher in the Christmas annually.

Speaking with BEATWAVES, he stated that Jesus Christ is the light of the world, so it is appropriate that the church welcomes his birth with a carols night.

Mr Appiah entreated Christians to live a life of righteousness just like Jesus Christ did.

According to him, the Dichemso, Bantama and Asokwa stakes of the Latter Day Saints in Kumasi came together to organise the event this year.
