The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG) has opened nominations for the eighth edition of Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards (GECEA) 2018 which is expected to close on January 31, this year.
The award is an initiative of EFG, in partnership with Omnibank, to honour, inspire and recognize the most successful and respectful entrepreneurs, business executives, corporate executives, who own or manage successful organizations in the private and public sector.
A statement from EFG Thursday said the award represents the benchmark of success for entrepreneurs, business executives and Chief Executive Officers in Ghana from various sectors.
The statement said the award focuses on the exceptional contributions of entrepreneurs and business executives who drive Ghana’s private sector.
The statement said this year’s award is on the theme: “Enhancing Business Growth through Corporate Entrepreneurship Development,” and it is slated for April 21, in Accra.
GECEA is accepting nominations in Entrepreneur Awards for categories such as Entrepreneur of the Year, Business Executive of the Year, Industrialist of the Year, Woman Entrepreneur, Young Entrepreneur, Most Promising Entrepreneur, Healthcare, Herbal Industry, Financial Services, Non-Banking, Creative Art and Oil and Gas.
Others are Media, Food and Beverage, Hospitality and Tourism Industry, Transport and Logistics, Building and Construction Industry, Real Estate Development, Information Communication, Technology, Education, Cosmetics and Personal care, the statement said.
It said: “Corporate Executive award categories are CEO of the Year, Woman Chief Executive, Young Chief Executive, Most Promising Chief Executive, Petroleum Chief Executive, Oil & Gas Marketing Chief Executive, Financial Services Chief Executive, Executive, Agri-business Chief Executive, Media Chief Executive and Healthcare Chief Executive.”
The statement said there would be awards for Business and Investment Chief Executive, Maritime and Port Operations Chief Executive, Insurance Chief Executive, Infrastructure Chief Executive, Airline Chief Executive and Mining Chief Executive.
The statement added that there would be an honorary award, which would focus on careers of distinguished public servants and diplomatic personalities who have promoted economic development.
The Honorary award categories are Distinguished Public Officer of the Year, Minister of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, Lifetime Achievement for Distinguished Public Service and Country Director of the Year, the statement said.
