Danquah-Busia Club Gives To Orphans

Members Of The Club In A Pose With The Children

THE DANQUAH-BUSIA Club of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has presented GH¢2,000 worth of consumer products to the Ashan Children’s Home at Denase in the Afigya-Kwabre District of the Ashanti Region.

The products were meant for the consumption of the orphans, in the Christmas season, to put smiles on the faces of the children in the home, which is being operated by Nana Boafo Konadu-Yiadom.

Chairman of the Club, Boakye Yiadom, on behalf of the caregivers, said that the donation was one way of showing love and affection as well as addressing the social welfare needs of the inmates.

He indicated that the Danquah-Busia Club took up the challenge to help with the upkeep of the orphans to let them feel loved, pointing out that the NPP government, led by President Akufo-ddo, would  give the country’s children, including orphaned and disadvantaged kids, hope for the future, irrespective of their current circumstances.

The club chairman stated that needy children do not only need a hand-out but a “hand-up” that would take them out of poverty and living on charity, for which the current government is prepared to undertake.

Mr. Boakye said the items were made of bags of rice, cooking oil, assorted soft drinks, blankets, biscuits, soaps and toiletries.

He was accompanied by other executives of the club, including the General Secretary, Owusu Achiaw and the National Treasurer, Hegga Asante.

Nana Boafo Konadu-Yiadom said the children would feel that society cares for them, especially during the Christmas festivities.
