The secretary chatting with President Akufo-Addo
The Western Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Charles Onuawonto Bissue, says that the NPP government, led by President Akufo-Addo, would deliver on its promises to the satisfaction of every Ghanaian.
According to him, government was working extremely hard to raise the living standards of the people by improving the economy and implementing other social intervention programmes.
“The programmes include the One District, One Factory project, restructuring institutions of the governance system, modernising agriculture to enhance productivity and rationalisation of the financial sector to support economic growth,” he added.
He indicated that Ghana was plunged into a state of hopelessness by the previous Mahama administration, adding “But I have no doubt that with God on our side we will succeed as the battle is still the Lords.”
The Western Regional NPP Secretary, who doubles as a Presidential Staffer, gave the assurance during a press soiree organized by the party for journalists in the region.
He assured Ghanaians that the current government has a team of competent men and women who are working to fix the economy and improve the standard of living of all Ghanaians.
He expressed the hope that Ghanaians would soon see positive changes in the country and their lives as ambitious programmes to achieve socio-economic transformation are being rolled out.
He added that the NPP administration would create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive and make Ghana an easier place to conduct business.
Mr Bissue applauded the media for their immense contributions towards the socio-economic development of the country.
The Acting Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr Ndede Sia, commended the electorate for voting massively for the party in the region during the 2016 general elections.
“I am also grateful to the party executives and members who contributed in numerous ways to ensure that the NPP in the Western Region increased its parliamentary seats from eight to 16,” he added.
The Regional Organizer of the NPP, Mohammed Abdul Ganiyu, indicated that Nana Akufo-Addo is a transformational leader and stressed that the government would ensure economic prosperity for all Ghanaians.
The convener, Emmanuel Opoku, Regional Reporter of DAILY GUIDE, on behalf of the Western Regional Press Corps, thanked the Regional NPP for the kind gesture accorded journalists in the region.
“As the voice for the masses and watchdog for societal growth, we promise to work hand in hand to advance the cause of government in the region. Let the New Year grow our relationship and partnership for development,” he noted.
