AirtelTigo Presents Cash Prizes

Two hundred customers of AirtelTigo, Ghana’s second largest telecom operator, have received cash and mobile phones as their prizes after emerging as winners in the company’s newly introduced nationwide promotion for pre-paid customers.

The winners included 24-year-old Isaac Okyere of University of Education, Kumasi campus, 28-year-old Evelyn Addo of Engine Matt, Bright Kwaku Yeboah, 29, James Odametey, a student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Wisdom Yevu, Akwasi Safo Gyasi, Kwame Boateng and Stephen Baffour.

At a ceremony in Kumasi, the winners were presented with daily cash of GH¢10,000, Samsung S 9 mobile phones, a touch screen laptop and iPhone X.

AirtelTigo’s Commercial Head for Ashanti Region, Kwame Osafo-Amoah, said the promotion is aimed at recognizing the company’s customers.

“If you are not on any of the promos yet, I urge you to get AirtelTigo SIM card from our sales team here and join the one big family,” he added.

The ‘Win Every Day’ promotion would end on April 19, 2018, with a grand prize of GH¢100,000 going to the ultimate winner.

According to Mr Osafo-Amoah, GH¢75,000 and GH¢50,000 would be presented to the second and third prize winners respectively.

“Just send START to short code 470 for GH¢0.40 daily and then answer a series of questions to accumulate points.

In November 2017, Airtel and Tigo merged in Ghana to become AirtelTigo, and the company has since begun to integrate and harmonize networks to improve customer experience.

The commercial head said the company has rolled out a national roaming service to provide wide coverage for prepaid customers in the Western, Northern and Ashanti Regions.
