Peter Abum-Sarkodie
The Acting Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Peter Abum-Sarkodie has been directed by President Akufo-Addo to vacate his post by Friday, 13 April 2018.
A letter addressed to him by the Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, said the President is withdrawing him on the advice of the governing board of the EPA which does not find him suitable for the post.
He is to hand over to the Deputy Executive Director (Field Operations), John Pwamang.
Peter Abum-Sarkodie, a former Member of Parliament for Mampong in the Ashanti Region, was appointed on 5 June 2017 as the Acting Executive Director of the EPA subject to the advice of the governing board and in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
The EPA is the body mandated to protect and improve the environment in the country.
