Okyeame Kwame
Okyeame Kwame is ready to stage his annual musical concert dubbed ‘OK Stripped’ this Friday, April 20 at the + 233 Jazz Bar & Grill in Accra.
The five-hour show has on its bill a number of celebrated and award-winning Ghanaian artistes, who will perform with headline artiste, Okyeame Kwame.
Over the years, the event has been associated with charity; with its proceeds funding dedicated to the cause of the OK Foundation.
This year’s event will feature award-winning artistes such as sensational Kwame Eugene, who grabbed two awards at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
The highlife song of the year award winner, Kidi, will also to perform at the event.
The best female vocalist of year, Adina, is also on the bill, as well as the queen of Afro-pop, MzVee. Songstress Irene Logan and Abochi will also be performing.
This year’s event will be a night of exciting live band presentation, where Okyeame Kwame will entertain his audience. All artistes billed for the event will be backed by The Patch Bay Band.
In an interview with BEATWAVES, Okyeame Kwame indicated that the event will be a night of live music, dance and poetry.
He added that the show will also give patrons an opportunity to get close and personal with OK in a question-and-answer session.
“This is the only event amongst all my shows where I engage my audience at the most interactive level, and allow them to ask me anything they want to know about me,” Okyeame Kwame explained.
He added, “The show becomes bigger and better every year and I promise fans of OK and Ghanaians at large to come see a memorable show. A lot is going into the show to make it attractive all the time.”
“So just come to +233, buy your ticket for only GH¢100 and let’s have a great time with Kidi, Kuami Eugene, MzVee, myself, Irene, Abochi and the other surprise guests who will be passing through,” Okyeame Kwame said.
