Book Readings At Goethe-Institut

The Writers Project of Ghana, in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut, will present readings from the anthology ‘Kenkey For Ewes & Other Very Short Stories’ at the premises of the Institut in Accra on Wednesday April 25.

The flash fiction anthology, which was edited by A. A. Asiedu, D. H. Dzah and J. J. Johnson, feature stories by young Ghanaian writers from across the country.

Published as an eBook by Flash Fiction Ghana in 2017, an audio book version is set to be released by Akoo Books Audio later this year.

Adelaide Awo Darkoa Asiedu and A.A. Asiedu, together with other literary figures, will be reading from the anthology alongside questions, contributions and comments from the audience, who include academics, writers, students and artists, who are working to encourage the habit of reading in Ghana.

Flash Fiction Ghana was set up in 2012 for to collect and publish flash fiction from across the country. Indeed, ‘Kenkey For Ewes & Other Very Short Stories’ is their first anthology and features fifty stories by contemporary writers.

This collection has been well received and was featured at the 2017 edition of ‘Pagya! A Literary Festival’ in Accra.
