NAB Signs Performance Contract

The National Accreditation Board (NAB) has signed a performance contract with the Government for 2018.

The Chairman of the Board, Prof. Kofi Awusabo-Asare alongside the Executive Secretary, Mr. Kwame Dattey did the signing with the Executive Chairman of the State Enterprises Commission (SEC) Mr. Stephen Asamoah-Boateng in attendance.

In his remarks, Mr. Asamoah-Boateng commended NAB for being one of the four subvented agencies who have taken the bold step of participating in their first signing of the government’s performance contract.

He further stated that the actions of NAB and the other three agencies is a sign of confidence and commitment in the performance agreement between state agencies and the government.

Prof. Awusabo-Asare, for his part, pledged NAB’s commitment towards the protection of academic integrity.

The National Accreditation Board is an agency of the Ministry of Education mandated to accredit both public and private tertiary education institutions with regard to the contents and standards of their programmes.

With a vision to be the foremost body of accreditation and quality assurance for tertiary education institutions, NAB also provides the best basis for establishing, measuring and improving standards in Tertiary Education in Ghana.
