Controversial musician Sister Deborah, born Deborah Vanessa Owusu, has explained the reason behind recording a semi-nude music video.
She said as someone who likes to come up with creative concepts in her music career to challenge herself, she thought it best to do such a video before her body starts getting all wrinkled.
“They say when you got it you flaunt it, so I have to do it before things start sagging,” she told Joy News’ Rebecca Tweneboah.
The ‘Uncle Obama’ hitmaker made the headlines once again after she shared her naked photo with her many fans on Instagram last month.
This is not the first time the musician has shared a nude photo of herself on her social media account.
In 2015, Sister Deborah tweeted a nude photo of herself lying in bed, a picture that went viral on social media and received a lot of criticisms from her fans.
The pictures for her album ‘FOKN Girl, Daughter Of The Son’ has gotten many tongue-lashing her.
But she said she does not think about the public backlash because her semi-nude pictures are not anything different from what girls undergoing the ‘dipo’ rites do.
According to her, she is not about copying any international artiste’s style because her concepts are unique and novel.
“We use the resources that we have and make sure the videos represent where we are from and who we are,” she said.
