Article Wan and Patapaa
Dancehall artiste Article Wan has challenged Patapaa to a popularity contest, saying he is more popular than the ‘One Corner’ artiste.
Speaking on Zylofon FM on Thursday, Article Wan, who shot to fame in 2016 with his ‘Solo’ track, stated that even though Patapaa has gained much attention in recent times, he is not popular than he (Article Wan) is.
“You and Patapaa, who is more popular?” the host, Sammy Flex, asked.
“I think I am more popular,” Article Wan answered.
Patapaa, who got into mainstream music in 2017 after he performed his ‘One Corner’ song at the Akwambo Festival, is currently one of the hottest artistes in the country.
He has generated a lot of controversy with his style of dressing and choice of lyrics. He is often talked about in social media circles and mainstream media.
Article Wan has featured Patapaa on his new song titled ‘That Thing’. The two displayed great creativity on the song by inter-weaving their individual jargons— ‘ngenge’, ‘olale’ and ‘skat kelenken’. But Article Wan maintains he is the biggest in terms of popularity.
