Dr Ben K.D Asante
The Humanity Magazine has presented the Environmental Stewardship Award to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Gas Company, Dr Ben K.D Asante.
The Humanity Magazine International aims at promoting quality leadership by recognizing the achievements of the managers in the public and private sectors to serve as examples for others.
The Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Humanity Magazine Nsoroma Osei Bonsu, in a special citation, praised the Ghana Gas boss.
“Since your appointment you have focused on safety measures programmes for the promotion of accident free gas-environments, which deserve recommendation, your hard work and clarity in objectives has no doubt transformed Ghana Gas Company to restore stakeholder confidence.”
Nsoroma, who is popular for his eloquence of the Twi language, used the opportunity to advocate safety measures when using gas cylinders.
He urged gas filling station operators to be disciplined and comply with the safety rules to avoid gas explosions.
Receiving the award, Dr Asante thanked the magazine for the honour done him, stating, “We are all here for the good of Ghana and call on all to work in that regard.”
The Chief Executive Officer of the Magazine Yahaya Alhassan, noted that Dr Asante, an experienced former lecturer at the School of Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has helped in carving a path towards the company’s development, modernization and digitization to boost efficiency for the benefit of mother Ghana.
