Fadda Dickson
Managing Director of Despite Group, Fadda Dickson, has been honoured with a doctorate degree by the AlfredĀ Nobel University, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education in Ukraine.
The doctorate degree was bestowed on Fadda Dickson as a recognition and celebration of his contribution to the development of radio and television industries in Ghana.
His nomination was approved by theĀ management ofĀ Confederation of Governance Assessment Institute (COGAI), the body empowered to recommend people for doctorate degree, under the auspices of Ukraine Ministry of Education and Bureau of Research on Governance, Commerce and Administration (BORGCA).
Fadda Dickson has successfully run and is still steering affairs of Peace FM, Okay FM, Neat FM, Hello FM and UTV, owned by Despite Group.
Under his leadership, the stations have consistently remained the most listened-to stations in the country.
The Dean of Research of the AlfredĀ Nobel University, Prof Eugene Cronoff, with the approval of the school’s academic councilĀ and a delegation from UkraineĀ presentedĀ the doctorate degree award to Fadda Dickson at a ceremony held at the University of Ghana, Legon, last Saturday, August 4.
A citation accompanying the award read, “Honorary Doctorate Degree, approval by the Academic Council, May 6, 2018 (Protocol No.002) the Degree of Honorary Doctorate of Alfred Nobel University is bestowed upon Fadda Dickson Narh.”
Prof Cronoff stated that the outstanding managing director has, over the years, proven peerless and a force to reckon with as far as media management is concerned in Ghana.
He was honoured together with six others personalities like Alhaji Labaran Barry, a highly-respected and philanthropic Muslim businessman and Mr Kwame Kyei, theĀ chief executive of Asante Kotoko Football Club, who also doubles as the founder and owner of Unity Oil and Vision 1 FM.
In 2016, he was honoured with the Excellence in Radio Management Award at the 2016 edition of the Radio & Television Personalities (RTP) Awards.
