Simon Osei-Mensah paying homage to Otumfuo at the Manhyia Palace
The Asante Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, has recognized and endorsed the performance of the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei- Mensah, during a durbar of chiefs in Kumasi.
President Akufo-Addo, who appointed him to the position, was there when the chief openly endorsed him.
The paramount chief noted: “The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei- Mensah, is a good man as he has effectively delivered as minister to the satisfaction of the chiefs in the Ashanti Region. He has so far proven to be obedient, hard working and residents of the region, notably the chiefs, appreciate his good works. He always gives the needed respect and courtesies to the chiefs in the region, especially the Asante King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II”.
The Asante Mamponghene, who occupies the silver stool of the Asante Kingdom, thanked the president for appointing a good person to lead the region.
According to him, Asanteman cherishes the Asantehene; hence people in the region would always endorse any minister who gives respect to Otumfuo.
He entreated other ministers and government officials to emulate Mr. Osei-Mensah’s shining example.
