The National Chairman and Leader of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Prof. Edmund N. Delle, paid a courtesy call on Togbega Fiti, the overlord of the Aflao Traditional Area over the weekend.
He was led there by a powerful delegation both from Accra and the Volta Region.
He was accompanied by Hajia Hamdatu Haruna Ibrahim, First Vice Chairperson, Mr. Boadu, Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr Azure, a founding member of the CPP, Akosua Asamoah, a Central Committee Member and his special aide Selasi Koffi Ackom.
From the Volta Region were the Regional Chairman, Thomas Ntumy, Regional Organizer, Mr. Paul, Chris Vigah, former regional chairman and a member of the council of elders, chairman of the reorganization committee, Mr. Ahiadzro, among other key executives.
Togbega Fiti did not hide his joy for the visit and advised the CPP to wake up and start campaigning early because Ghanaians were truly fed up with the political duopoly in the country.
He said that Ghana was ready for another CPP administration.
Togbe further stressed that Ghanaians are currently enjoying the developmental projects of the CPP and pledged his full support to the cause of the CPP.
The National Chairman and Leader of the CPP, in his response, thanked the Aflao overlord for his kind reception and assured Togbe of the CPP’ commitment to capturing power to rescue the country.
“The CPP’s achievements are unmatched, it’s saddened by the turn of events in the country and is poised to wrestle power and restore the dignity it once brought to the country,” Prof added.
Prof. Delle said the party has embarked on a nationwide registration of all CPP members and sympathizers who would be issued with biometric membership cards.
“This program has already seen some significant achievements. This, if effectively concluded, will catapult the party back to attractiveness and subsequently power.”
